Few days ago, I had this conversation with my colleague who is 7-8 years older than me. I asked her, how much her first salary was after she graduated from university 8 years ago.
She said, RM 1800.
……………
Which also my first salary after I graduated from university 4 years ago * kill myself……. And I do know my ex-company still offer RM 2000 for fresh entry.
……………….
My point is... 8 years ago, roti canai kosong is RM 0.50, milo is RM 0.80 per cup, economy rice is RM 2, and the damn terrace house price still at the range of RM 150k – RM 250k. Fresh grad salary: RM 1800
Ok… FINE!! 4 years ago, roti canai kosong is RM 0.80, milo is RM 1 per cup, economy rice is RM 2.50 – RM 3, and the damn terrace house price is already RM 200k – RM 280k. Fresh grad salary: RM 1800
Today, roti canai kosong is RM 1, milo is RM 1.80 per cup, economy rice is RM 4.5 – RM 6 (mlm), and suddenly damn terrace house price is RM 400k – RM 500k. Fresh grad salary: RM 2000
WTF? I should seriously consider having roti canai kosong everyday, spend only RM 3 per day, coz I can’t even afford for the so called economy rice anymore and then I shall die from heart attack due to high cholesterol.
…………………….
Aihh.. few years back, I didn’t need those water filter thingies, I just need a good quality kettle and I can have clean water, and then don’t know from when onwards, water filter become a must in every house. The more expensive water filter, means the healthier you will be. Everyone is crazy about water filter, even my direct sales brother wanted to sell me his Amway water filter for RM 3000 wtf.
The most ridiculous thing now is I NEED TO PAY IF I WANT FRESH AIR. God… I don’t know how is the air condition at others’ area, but currently, I am staying at Bandar Parkland Klang, and I am literally soaking in thick haze with burning throat EVERY FREAKING MORNING. And don’t think because of the haze thing, the house price will be going down a bit la, coz I don’t know maybe that area got gold or what, 2 years ago, you can get a 22 x 75 terrace house at RM 230k. Now the cheapest you can find for 22 x 75 is RM 460k onwards. Thank you, to all fresh grad, you can go kill yourself now.
Back to the haze thing, I need to buy air purifier and switch in on every night now because of the stupid haze thing, I am down with bronchitis + 3 months none stop coughing + symptom of asthma + never cured burning throat. So pay or die case.
And then back to the house thing wtf, based on the calculation above, where everything on earth minus your salary is having 100% of growing rate in 8 years, so in order I can have a nest in the future, I need to buy a house like NOWW, and eat roti canai kosong everyday for the next 30 years. T_T
No, condominium and apartment is not a nest for me… coz I scared of taking lift by myself la can or not. Actly 20 years ago, semi D that my parents bought is less than RM 200k wtf, so I am already downgrading for so much and asking for terrace house only. T_T
Aihhhhhhhhhhhhh… u say la…. How to survive?
ADV time
Anyway, my budget is around RM 350k, terrace house minimum 20x70 la.. not so melampau ma hor… I don’t want 10 years and above haunted-look-alike house, not so kampong, not so isolated and far one… you see, my requirement is not so high only righttt? You think, houses like that still exist or not? T_T
